Follow Rydell High’s class of 1959 through this electric, unforgettable musical to the rock ’n’ roll soundtrack that defined generations. Performed at the Isle of Man Gaiety Theatre from 24th September – 1st October 2022.
It’s 1959, and Rydell High School’s senior class have returned from summer recess. The too-cool-for-school “T-Birds” are stealing hub-caps and acting tough and their gum-popping, chain-smoking “Pink Ladies” are making waves in bobby sox and pedal pushers.
At the heart of the story are streetwise heart-throb Danny Zuko and the sweet new girl in town, Sandy Dumbrowski. They had a secret summer romance… now back in school, peer-pressure, gossip and ancient reputations make their love affair a bit more complicated. Can Danny maintain his cool dude status and still make demure Sandy his girl?
Featuring hit songs: Greased Lightnin’, Hopelessly Devoted to You, You’re The One That I Want, and Summer Nights.

“It would be very fair to say that this production was of the highest of standards across all of the performance and technical disciplines and everyone involved in this production should be extremely proud of themselves.
All cast members’ performances were of the highest standard across dance, drama and singing. There was not one second where anybody was not fully committed to their moment and character. All dance numbers were executed with articulation and precision and there was nothing but the highest quality vocals being created.”
